9 Neutral Jute Rugs (That Won't Break The Bank)

Ever since I started working with Revival Rugs a few years ago, I’ve developed a bit of *thing* for rugs and textiles. Good news is that for most of those last 5 years, my husband and I lived in a 2-bedroom San Francisco with very limited space, and limited need, for rugs. Bad news is, we recently moved to a home in upstate New York where we find ourselves with a lot of house.
Because of this, I am partial to home decor items that don’t cost an arm and a leg. But of course, I want things that are well made and will last a long time. Enter, jute rugs.
Jute is a natural fiber with a grassy, twine-line appearance and texture. Now, I know some folks are averse to the texture of jute and while the texture does not bother me at all, I acknowledge that every material has its pros and cons.
But as a self-designated jute rug ambassador, I’d like to turn your attention to the merits of jute rugs. What they lack in plushiness, jutes rugs are so flexible to design with. They serve as a timeless, visual anchor to a room. They are great for layering and work with so many styles of decor making it a cost effective choice both in the short term and long term. Plus, I love that a high quality jute rug essentially does not shed.
